Blake’s Code Studio

Blake doesn’t usually refer to himself as the third person but he will do so for this little biography about himself.

Blake grown up in a town call Petaling Jaya (erm… or is it a city now?) about 20 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He lost most of his childhood memories which he hopes otherwise. After completing high school at Sekolah Menengah Damansara Jaya he went for a one month student exchange program to Japan which remains his “Most memorable – relaxing – enjoyable month” of his 24 years life on earth. He has sworn to visit Japan again in the near future. Blake then attends collage at Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology and got his higher diploma in IT with Software Engineering. He later made a decision to get study loans (yes two loans, manipulated another bank to give me a second tuition fees which was later used for living expenses) to finish his degree at Northumbria University of Newcastle, UK. It was an unforgettable year; made milo from the hot water tap for the first 2 weeks, showered only twice a week (an impossible feat for a Malaysian) during freezing winter, worked as a bartender for a mafia-like manager, visited Paris, drank from Rome’s fountain, met two English men whom possess telepathic abilities (one of them got a pair of blue/green eyes), first look at Nazi at Berlin, and probably never walked so much in his life. He is proud to show off his First Class (Honours) Degree in Applied Computing. He finally went back home at the year 2005 and took a couple of weeks to realized that he is no longer earning British Pounds. Blake then proceed quickly to job hunting as he got study loans to repay, disappointed to grasp that his first class degree is really a worthless piece of paper to the banks, they only accept notes with a head on them or preferably a nice looking signed rectangle paper with a figure “RM100,000” written next to another magic word “Amount”. He then found a job as a software engineer at TMS Berhad which he learned many realities of a white collar employee and made many new friends. After some time, he had enough of working from 9 till 6 at the office, selling insurance after that, and do freelance work before he sleeps just to pay of his loans. With the support of his family and friends, he quit his job and incorporated Patch IT Sdn Bhd on the year 2006. He now works harder than ever before to build a sustainable business (and selling insurances). His company provides managed hosting service, enterprise solutions, IT services and media design to all kind of businesses.
