The west finally into Sex in Games?

Jun 13, 2006 in Events, Fun

I have Wired News RSS Feed bookmark-ed for a couple of months now. Everyday they post up something interesting. Today Bonnie Ruberg blog about Sex in Games.**WARNING: some contents are for 18+ only.** I visited some of games Bonnie mention and wow… they are sure relistic and uncensored. :D

The only game which I could recall from the US which contain some sex is Leisure Suit Larry. But that’s nothing compare with what you could get nowadays.

Ok, why did I say… finally? Well, it’s because in the east we have one of the world’s biggest exporter of porn: Japan. Sex in games is nothing new in Japan, and nope… I didn’t play any of them personally (finger-crossed).

Jun 12, 2006 in Tips, Money, Entrepreneur

Rocketboom@_@ is that even possible? I was reading BBC News about a Top Microsoft Blogger who was about to resign. So I went to checkout his blog at . Yup he uses WordPress as well. From there, I saw this post about Amanda’s videoblog getting 300,000 visitors a day and getting paid like USD85,000 a week!!! And guess what? She just started it like 1.5 years ago! Btw, you will need QuickTime to view her videoblog. (she is probably getting paid by Apple to use QuickTime. hehehe).

=) World Cup is here, michael’s open house and Jimmy going to US for the 2nd time bonding party. So many things happening the pass few days I didn’t have time to blog. Michael got a really nice … plasma TV and calm interior at his new condo. His open house was on World Cup first match so we hangout there to watch Germany VS Costa Rica. It was a really exciting game… and watching the game upclose with the super large-clear plasma screen is just sooooo good. :)

Jimmy will be leaving for US in a couple of house and last saturday we had a “bonding party” at my apartment. I NEVER seen (heard) someone vomit so badly before, no no… not Jimmy but Bobby. I think it lasted for 2 hours or more. @_@ The highlight for the night must be Jimmy’s Pom Pom dance, which Kelvin is very grateful about it. :p Should I post up a video clip of Jimmy’s Pom Pom dance? hehehehe maybe I would.

Another time killer game: Cirring

Jun 09, 2006 in Fun

Ok, I didn’t found this as well. My high school friend Yishyene was playing the “target training” game I mention a couple of days ago and recommended this to me as well. This game is much easier to play and will still kill time! How can she give me this link while I am rushing off with a functional specification which I will have to present in the next hour?!! Anyway have fun with this one as well, thanks Yishyene for the link.

Jun 08, 2006 in Tips, Money, Entrepreneur

Are you someone who got a great idea? A dreamer… who wants to make your dream a reality? Well, one of the first step in realising your dream is to have a **business plan**. Alot of entrepreneur (including myself) is just too lazy or doesn’t know how to put those ideas into paper. The Technopreneur Development Division of MDEC will be having a FREE workshop on “Business Plan Development” and I will be there. =)

They will be providing the training on writing a sound business plan so you could get funding for your ideas. If you are lucky, maybe you will get a GRANT! The workshop will be held at Cyberjaya. If you stay around SS 2 PJ you can car pool with me.

Ubuntu Linux - linux for human beings

Jun 05, 2006 in Open Source, Linux, Ubuntu

Ubuntu Linux LogoWhile doing some research on TinyMCE, I came across Flock, looks like another browser but with extra stuff like Blogging tool, tagging, newsfeed, various tools for managing photos and etc. While reading about Flock, Ubuntu was mention. Curious to see what’s it about, I checked it out.

*WoW, an Linux OS for … human beings.*

For many of us, even developers… it’s hard for us to let go Windows OS. Why? Because it’s still the easiest to use, install, software are easy to find and most important of all… Games. :D If every game out there has a Linux version I will definitely move to Linux! (or FreeBSD). So, what’s the different with *uix like RedHat, Debian… just to name a few and Ubuntu Linux?

- 100% Free (Enterprise version is FREE as well)
- Both professional and community support!
- Meaningful name - Ancient african word for “Humanity to others”

So this is not just another variant of Linux; as more people know about Ubuntu and the meaning of the word… maybe it will remind all of us that no matter how different we all look, we are all humans. Stop the killing! Stop war! Ok, maybe that’s not what they wanted to spread, but hey, it’s meaningful.

Drupal ebook, hosting

Jun 05, 2006 in PHP, Tips

Drupal Image It’s 4am and I just finish reading a couple of chapters on Drupal in this APress book with the title “Building Online Communities with Drupal, phpBB, and WordPress”. A big thanks goes to Trevor for helping me locate the ebook.

This ebook is perfect for me since I am working on Drupal, phpBBand WordPress, yup all 3! For the record, Patch IT Sdn Bhd offers managed hosting and customization for all three application. =)

So far the book is great for the Drupal section which I read. Although there’s alot of information available at Drupal.org, I still prefer reading a book to get my feet wet and then only search for particular stuff on the site or google. Yup, even with the almighty Internet… the ancient invention - “book” is still my preferred method of learning new stuff.

FitnessFirst here I come

Jun 04, 2006 in Friends, Tips, Fun

Fitnessfirst logoI don’t know why I did it… But I did it.

I went to Fitnessfirst today for my erm… 2nd… or was it the 3rd trial? with my pal Jimmy. During the workout i ran into Aniza, my high school friend who I haven’t seen for a couple of years if I remember correctly. =)

After my workout and chill time at the Kafe here comes the Salesperson. I have been on trial 3 times, I should be able to resist the sale’s talk right? We talk for a while and she show me discount available for a couple of credit card companies. If I remembered correctly… the latest list are:

1. CitiBank
2. HSBC
3. MayBank

All of them have different offers but the value seems to be around the same and only applies to *Passport Pass - RM175 a month*. I only got MayBank so the offer was:

- 1 Month FREE *(yeah baby!)*
- RM95 administration fees. *(booo)*
- RM100 joining fees. *(booo x2)*

CitiBank has a joining fee waiver but only free 7 days. I don’t really remember HSBC. Anyway I wanted to ciao liao but for curiosity sake I ask for companies offer (although I am nothing working in any company atm). **JACKPOT**!! Listed in the top 10 was:-

*AIA - RM160*

*Joining fees - NIL*

So I walk out as a FitnessFirst member. Now I can workout at Menara Axis before my weekly meetings… workout at John Hancock with my mom (also a member but Home Pass) on Saturdays, and one of the week days when I need to release stress after meeting clients. I need to find a way to convince my Dad to workout. I think I can fit my CPU into his belly.

Well, all is good now I suppose. See you guys at the gym. :D
